To reinforce your knowledge of the Statewide Financial System (SFS), refer to the extensive array of SFS Job Aids and other materials found on this page.
It is important to remember that SFS training materials are designed to teach you about system functionality that applies across all agencies. Training on Agency-specific business processes is managed by each Agency.
Printable Job Aids supplement the self-study and instructor-led training materials. They feature step-by-step guidance for completing a broad range of tasks in the SFS.
The Quick Start Guides give you step-by-step instructions for getting started on the most common SFS transactions.
The Glossary of SFS Terms (posted 8/15/12) provides agencies with general terminology helpful in using and understanding the SFS and how it works.
The Guide to Financial Operations (GFO) acts as a reference source for statewide accounting policies, procedures and the Office of the State Comptroller (OSC) related mandates for use by state agencies. It replaces the former New York State Accounting System User Procedures Manual to coincide with the implementation of the SFS.
